Cotton interlock jersey is an ideal introduction to knit fabrics. They are generally easy to work with, not too stretchy and don’t curl up at the edges like single jersey. Knitted from two layers they are heavier than single knit jersey.
They have a flattering soft drape quality which lies smoothly over curves and doesn’t call attention to the lumps and bumps in the way single jersey can.
They have a good amount of stretch width wise and a little lengthwise, making them ideal for both babies and children's clothing. As well as being great for adults T shirts, pyjamas and nightshirts.
